Tiny Empires: Building a Dynasty

There's been some drama in the world of TE with some major Princess bickering & name calling. I showed up late with my spoon but realized it wasn't necessary so I sat back & just watched the pot boil. I know where my loyalty lies and I know my subjects are loyal to me. Well all except one who I am just waiting to take a bribe. I highly encourage that he does. :)

My goal is to become a Duchess by the end of the day & get Hawks some subjects. :) Here is some personal tips for ya'll cause really it's not just about self gain.

• Do not buy land in Nov-Dec. Taxes aren't worth it.
• You cannot dress your ox as a doctor & fool your servants.
• Eventually your horse will need shoes, may I suggest Sketchers sneakers?
• You can buy a cottage, but you'll share it with a family of mice.
• Add the first two numbers, subtract the last and there is your [?]
• Give land to your subjects cheerfully & often. It's better to help them than focus on yourself. A happy subject is a loyal subject.

So I'm still Countess JellyBean Madison (with 29 more acres to go to Marquise) pledged to Marquise Eva Tiramisu. My subjects are Sir HawksRock Gunawan, Baroness Akasha Nyak, Baroness Dreamer Demontrond, Peasant Rosie Shark & Baron Jon Desmoulins. What good subjects they are too *pinches all their cheeks & gives it a lil shake* We belong to the family of Prince Celty Westwick. If you're not addicted yet, why the hell not?

Tiny Empires - The HUD Game

Here's the run down... Tiny Empires is a HUD based game. No specific sim needed etc. You can wear it & participate while dancing, playing tringo, shopping or just veggin'.

Tiny Empires is a massively multiplayer game that you play entirely in the HUD window in Second Life. The game is set in medieval England, during the time of feudalism: 1100-1300 CE. The goal of the game is to grow your empire by purchasing land, by gaining followers, and by earning gold.

In this game, you are sworn to the service of a "liege," a feudal lord. You are known as the Liege's "subject," and other subjects of the same liege are known as your "fellows." Your liege may be a subject of another liege higher up the hierarchy. This hierarchy goes all the way up to the King. Eventually you will gain subjects of your own. All of these roles are played by other Second Life residents who are playing Tiny Empires along with you.

You pay a portion of your income to your liege. This is called "homage" and your homage rate depends on your level of nobility. The higher you are, the less you pay in homage.

Your income comes from two places:
1) Homage from any subjects under you,
2) Any land you own.
Each acre of land you own produces a certain amount of gold, depending on its production rate.

When you first join the game, you may choose a liege that you already know. Just stand next to the Tiny Empires player *ahem, JellyBean Madison or HawksRock Gunawan* you would like to join. If you don't choose a liege, you may opt to have a liege assigned to you by the king.

Tiny Empires is a turn-based game where each turn represents one month of game time. You can see the date in the upper left corner of the HUD. Each turn, the game will show you various offers and notices that you can act on. It will also show the lists of your subjects and fellows, and a summary of the gold accounting from the previous turn.

The turns change automatically every few minutes. When there is a Yes/No offer available to you, you can answer Yes or No up until the time of the next turn. At that point your answer is locked in and will be processed by the game. The clock in the upper right corner of the HUD will tell you approximately how much time is left until the next turn.

vSide - Virtual East Side?

I'm always looking for new virtual worlds to dive into. I've tried so many that I won't list them all. This morning I read about vSide on the Metaversed - vSide Offers a New Twist on Virtual World Advertising. This is the first time I've ever heard of it. It appears to be just like SL in the sense of teleporting, mobility, and communication with two big differences... vSide is AIM chat capable and appears to be musically motivated.
They take their music very seriously and is the apparent driving force behind all the different venues offered. Bands, live music performances and more! You can bet I'm dragging Hawks with me. :) We love live music in SL. I bet that with a world that exists just for the music, it'll ROCK HARD! It's currently in Alpha testing, so it may be hard to get in, but you can sign up to receive an email when the doors open.

Okay so yes, I tried Kaneva. That was awhile back though. Hell, what haven't I tried? I'm in THERE, Audition, Laguna Beach, Kaneva, and I even tried Red Light Center (shup! I left after 30 minutes). This morning in my normal routine, I find an email from a guy in Kaneva. Okay seriously I thought the Prince of Africa & I had a money scam going and then there's that one guy from Timbuktu. I can only do so much guys. Seriously, I hate to say no, but I just have too much on my plate & it's getting hard to keep track of all of ya. :p
