Bloggity Blog Blogging time with Hawks

Alrighty then, it has been a while since I did any posting, but I am starting to feel the urge to start posting some more blogs, which ought to make the lil misses happy, if nothing else... lol.

JH productions:
Wow, Aka totally nailed the build I had in my head. In fact she took my idea, and improved upon it so that I am ecstatically happy with how it turned out. I really am loving my office, even if it is "cold and sterile." :p We are currently working this weekend on our first new shoot in "the Hangar" with the She Wants Revenge, Out of Control vid. The pressure is on to start work on our pet project of Tank Girl. Jell and I rewatched the movie last night again, and I took lots of notes of elements that we want to bring into the production we do. We are not going to recreate it scene for scene, but we do very much want to keep in the spirit of the way the film was shot. Once we get a little farther down the process of developing the script, we will be casting for the roles. These will involve a lot more of a commitment than our typical show up and shoot sort of thing, because we want to pull in voice and assorted other aspects, so you can be thinking over if you want to be part of this or not.

Tiny Empires:
Tiny Empires has been the weirdest blend of blessing and curse. On the one hand we have loved the social networking portion of it, and getting to meet all the wonderful people and their personalities that have come into our family. We really do love all y'all. On the other hand, it is starting to feel a little too much like work, and it is always popping up into our convo's and I worry that it dominates too much of our time. Jell and I have actually started scheduling non-TE time where we take the hud off and close the window on the family for a few hours here and there, just because we need a little break from the constant donging impetus to take action on something. Then it seems that there are a few that are taking it way too seriously, and getting bent out of shape about a hud game that really isn't a life or death type thing, if you know what I mean.
Yesterday we both bought the new updated hud called Tiny Empires Federation. So far it has only made me lose money faster, by throwing natural disasters and things into the equation that end up costing me gold to fix, and lower the amount of homage I make because my land is running under the maximum population capacity. The verdict is still out, since I have only used it for a couple of hours, but as we learn more about it we will pass along the info.

Clockworks:
We have been having a great crowd for our Tuesday night sets, and this has turned out to be a really fun weekly party. Everyone is welcome to attend from 6-8 pm, in the Topgol sim. This week I am really feeling a Depeche Mode set, so I am going to be pounding out an hour of my favorite Depeche Mode songs and mixes. Gillian requested it, but this is one that I am ohhh so happy to deliver, so if you are a DM fan, then be sure to make the 6-7 portion. Jell will be cranking out some great ska or assorted other tunes from 7-8 as well.

Tringo:
I have been so busy with other things, that I haven't played or hosted tringo in 2 weeks. I apologize to all you Tringo fans out there who frequent Hawk's Tringo. I think I am in a bit of a non-tringo phase atm. Dreamer is still hosting 4-5 times a week, so if your time zones work out that you can make it at midnight SL time, that is the normal kick off time. We are running a little bit low on prims on the ground at JH Productions, so we are probably going to convert the primmy couches over to bean bags. I am sure I will get the urge to play a few games now and then and I will throw out an IM to everyone, but right now my focus is on getting the Tank Girl script up off the ground.

Happy Anniversary:
Amidst all the chaos of the last couple of days, Jell and I celebrated our 4 month anniversary (although we have been a couple for 5.5 months) last night by getting in a little quiet dancing outside of Avilion. This was where we had our first "official dance" as more than just friends, so it was nice to complete the circle and come back there again. There is no more romantic spot in all of SL than Avilion for overall flavor. I actually kind of like the no script rule there as well, because it acts as an off switch on the TE hud. These have been 5.5 of the happiest months I have had, and I have got myself into all sorts of new adventures, that leaves me looking forward to the next 5.5 months to see what is in store for us next.
