Bits & Bobs - v7

That's right folks... Bits & Bobs has released another new couples dance - v7. I thought the v6 was great but jinkies Craig Altman has done it again with this new v7. As always, here's vid:

Since I'm not truly writing a review of them, nor am I getting paid to endorse them, I didn't list the names of the dances in the video, or in this post, it's just tmlw. Bust it! Word.

When I first became a DJ back in the TSO days, I was known as the "80's DJ". Gosh, for the longest time that's all I did & I loved it! Well yesterday I put a dance bracelet together for Hawks with all the new male Sine Wave dances just released. Rosie, Aka, Dreamer & I took that baby for a test drive while I picked up stream & kicked it old school. Almost 2 hours of Tone Loc, JJ Fad, MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Newcleus, Marrs, Salt N Pepa, 69 Boyz, etc and we were funkin' it out. I have the set recorded if ya'll feel like uploading it or listenin'.

Anyways I wanted to wait for Hawks to return to film the male dances but I have a feeling there will be no time for that during our reunion. :p So that means ya'll would be waiting awhile. I didn't do any fancy smancy stuff so take that in consideration when you watch this. Haha! This was just me & my 3 girl friends having fun & not all dances are shown. You can checkity check them for yourselves at Sine Wave Island just under the blue NEW signage. Sine Wave dances are transfer, just like Animazoo and make great gifts. Especially if you make a full dancer. :)

Tutorial: How To Make A Dance Necklace/Bracelet

Whatcha need:

• Your favorite dance animations - I suggest Sine Wave, Animazoo & Djezebel Animations, of course.
• A Sensual Dance Bracelet from Le Cadre - (now you can tote use this, I just find the bracelet is ugly & prefer to add the scripts to stuff I'll *actually* wear)
• A modifiable piece of jewelry (necklace, bracelet, ring - but it HAS to be modifiable) - I suggest anything from ::Goth1c0::

How to:

• Unpack your Le Cadre Sensual Dance bracelet from it's bag. (Right click - Open - Copy all items to inventory)
• Drag the bracelet that you just unpacked to the ground and gut it of all scripts (Right click - Open - Copy all items to inventory) You can delete the bracelet after you have ganked the scripts.
  
• Drag & drop your new modifiable piece of jewelry that you want to become your dancer to the ground. Right click it and choose edit. You can rename it. Example: Jelly's Rotten metal necklace dancer (Celtic)
  
• Go to the contents tab and drag ALL the scripts you took out of the dance bracelet & your favorite dances into the content area of the new dancer.
• After everything is in your new jewelry, pick it up and put back into your inventory.
• Now wear it. It should say something like "Jelly's Rotten metal necklace dancer (Celtic): Loading dances, please wait.." "Jelly's Rotten metal necklace dancer (Celtic): Sensual Dance Bracelet ready, dances loaded: 9" IF YOU DID NOT SEE THIS - Right click it while you are wearing it, choose edit, then under TOOLS at the top of your screen, choose "Set scripts to running in selection"
• Viola! Go get jiggy with it!

West of Ireland - Dueling Violins

Dreamer & I were wave scouting when we arrived at West of Ireland. There's a tented mall there called Celtic Crossing Market and that's where I discovered Djezebel Animations. I bought all the Irish dances I think. Then I visited the main store, OH MAH GAWD! Sit poses, dance animations, jigs, concert animations, and ball shop.

I think I've established that I'm a complete animation whore. After buying the Irish dance animations, I just had to make a new dance necklace. This is #3 now. Haha! And of course this was a perfect excuse to get Aka & Rosie dressed like matching beer wenches & gettin 'jiggy' with me. :p

New @ Animazoo

Dave Bellman of Animazoo has released 5 new dances today.

• Dance 12
• Dance 14
• Animazoo dance 11
• Animazoo dance 9
• Animazoo dance 10

This release is a little confusing as the dances are still numbered & conflict others at his store. The Macarena (a free anim offered at Animazoo) is also named Dance 10. What he has done is added the word "Animazoo" in front of this newly released dance 10, that is nothing like the Macarena. *shrugs* I still love the dances. It would be easier if he did name them other than numbers like Gillian said, "I wish they would come up with more original names so I didn't have like 25 "dance xx" in my animation folder."

As usual I've put together a video to show the new dances, but to kill two birds with one stone, I've added surfing footage & played with effects. Hawks & I are debating on new editing software, so I need to see what limits I can push with WMM. Enjoy...

Slow Dance V6

Craig Altman, the driving force behind Bits and Bobs Animations along with help from Jenny Dinova and Yoshimi Muromachi, has quietly turned my SL experience on its head again with another new version in his line of Slow Dances. It seems he quietly released his new V6 on June 28th, and Jelly and I just happened across it when we were looking for some new water animations last night.

A quick review of the prior versions (I have yet to find a V2, although I have to think that it exists out there somewhere):

Slow Dance - The great primer slow dance with just enough going on to keep your interest.

Slow Dance V3 - The use with great caution or you will end up married or preggers with any noobs on the dance floor. My personal all time favorite dance. This one has the perfect blend of awww and lust all rolled up into one. We close the night every night with this dance when out dancing, that is if we don't just end up starting on this one and never leaving it.

Slow Dance V4 - The heavy on groping action, and great au d'hoeurve for making a statement that you are just beginning the night and not ending it *winks*. This one also ranks very high up the list of all time fav's.

Slow Dance V5 - The ode to Junior High dances, which honestly I avoid like the plague. The slow rocking, gazing, and holding hands just brings back memories of trying to muster up the courage to move off the wall and go ask the hot chick to dance... Now that I have bagged the hot chick, this one isn't really necessary.

And now Craig has introduced a Slow Dance V6 into the mix, which I have to say Jelly and I are LOVING at the moment. We mainly enjoy having something different in the mix, as well as the slow spin, dip, and lifting action which demonstrate a closeness of feeling that fits us perfectly. Our first public display of this dance and we are already getting asked where we got it, so other people are responding to it as well. In the spirit of a picture being worth a thousand words, we shot a quick vid to demo the dance for you all. Head on down to Bits and Bob's main store to pick it up, since it is only available there.

The Metronome is hiring DJ's. That's right. Tips only but sounds like hella fun nonetheless. Here's the notice:

Calling all DJs...seeking DJs for The Metronome Jazz Club and The Rock Factory. If you are a jazz/blues DJ or a country/rocker/whatever DJ and are looking for a weekly gig, we are hiring in San Francisco, Danica. IM Sasyblonde Hebert or Rex Tardis for info.

Sasy & Rex do a radio show together & they're always fun to listen to. Hawks & I have been discussing dj'ing together a little bit that it was kind of funny to see this notice today. After talking to Sasy & then discussing it more with Hawks, we've decided to give it a go. I've been a dj for awhile just on hiatus, This sounds like exactly what I need to jump back in the water and what better way than holding Hawks' hand, right? We're both full of uber delightifications about it. So stay tuned, you may be hearing us live soon. :)

Avilion Castle Grand Ballroom
This place is simply amazing. I was introduced to it months ago when Hawks & I were just friends challenging eachother. Now I can't get enough of dancing here with him, ahem, or anywhere else for that matter. *mush*

The first masquerade ball of the day, to benefit Relay For Life, is beginning now at the Avilion Grove Grand Ballroom! The event shall run from 12:00pm SLT - 2:00pm SLT. The second event is this evening from 8:00pm SLT to 10:00pm SLT. There is a raffle ball handing out prizes! Please help support the relay and donate to the available kiosks!
