Home is where the heart is... cept when she is working

Missing you baby... but NO you still shouldn't be calling in sick tmw. :)
kk a few things about Jelly that you all should know:
1) Jell amped on amp = perpetual motion machine / bizare abstract artistic genius
2) Jell is a more cunning linguist than I am, so don't go taking her on in Literati or you will get it handed to you... as in she is freaking amazing at it!! I am not even worthy to dust her dictionary.
3) Jell's handwriting is hawt
4) Jell has over 40k items in inventory, but not ONE thing to wear. She still miraculously manages to change about once an hour though somehow, someway.
5) Jell will do anything you tell her she can't ... fortunately, I have never once told her she can't do something, but I have watched others try it, and seen her pwn them
Few other randoms:
On an RL note: Jayhawks are kicking ASS!!! 4th in the nation in Football BCS standings with an undefeated record. I mean wtf is that all about? The basketball team is ranked 4th in the polls as well, and we still haven't got their star back yet for a few more games. I have been going to all the games and it is a GREAT time to live in Lawrence... There is nowhere in the country that is as fun as Allen Fieldhouse... take that you Cameron crazy punks!!
Hate that we missed Tuesday's clockworks set... :(. Hoping that at least one of us can for sure make it this Tuesday, but waiting to see how our schedules shake out, we will keep everybody posted for sure, once we know.
TE - ffs can we get Jelly to queen already... I love our family, even when they are saying gnite in the group and congratulating other people when they make princess from another line in our family's group chat cuz dammit we are the family that cares. Jell is the only one who can make a discussion on taxes sound kinda hawt... and dirrrrty.
Jell and I have become a bit of.... homebodies. :o It sounds crazy I know, but honestly we had a discussion the other night, that we have really been spending a ton of time at the house. Now granted we just bought a great new house, so we have been decorating, etc... but the short answer is that we aren't getting out like we used to. I think it is because we don't have a destination tringo spot like we did in the Bad Azz gaming days, so we are on the lookout for a new hangout. We do Kindly some of the time, but I haven't been able to really get into it in a big way. To me a lot of it is roleplayed younger than college, and it doesn't intrigue me as much in that format. Next up is I am Legend to see if we both enjoy that or not. Stay tuned for how we like it.
Prince Harlan goes AWOL. Dude where did you go? Are you okay? You don't write... you don't call... do we hafta wait for our Christmas card to arrive to find out how you are? Seriously, drop us a note... lol.

M E R C U R Y
Okay I'm kinda awake. Shup... I'm low on Iron. Aww... don't worry, I have a big juicy steak on the grill right now. Thanks for your concern though. Yah, so I'm fashionably late blogging this, Ha! I kill me sometimes.
So here's my official M E R C U R Y review...First off let me state that I am so uneducated & ignorant in the fashion lingo that I had to look up the word couture to which I found it is a French word that means or meant "sewing or needlework." So basically every child working in a sweat shop in the mountains of Asia is making couture. Yay! See, I used it in a full meaningful sentence. My English teacher would be so proud. Actually along with the original definition, I found that it is used now to mean the top end of the womenswear market. Either way, I'm guessing whether it's children in a far away sweat shop, or top end womenwear, it's not my bag (oh lawd, do not get me started on bags in SL). To me, clothes are clothes. I buy what I like, and don't buy what I don't. I just don't have the time it takes to try to keep up with the Jones' nor do I care. Okay not true, if one of the Jones' choked on a chicken bone at a fancy smancy dinner party... that I might care about. But I digress.
As I'm sure you've already seen on many fash blogs, we were all given the Amelia outfit (pictured above) freshly released in Mercury's Summer Line. The fall line should be out in late October. Out of everything in the summer line this is the only thing that seemed even remotely me-ish. All dressed up & no where to go, I say.Mercury is brought to you by 3 sisters (Lu sister similarity? Damn skippy!). Wilhelmena, Winifred, and Willa Whitfield are the brains & talent behind this new line of "couture". Wilhelmena, Winifred (along with her toy poodle, Twinkle) were on hand this a.m. for Q & A. We (the guests) were informed that the 3rd sister, Willa was too intoxicated to be assed to join us. I had arrived thinking it was to be a fashion show, but it was just as the invite stated, an Opening of the store.
I have to admit I was more interested in the wine, theatricals & the many fashion bloggers I've read on numerous occasions in attendance. It was nice to actually see what they wear All in all, I feel that Mercury is very well made clothes, not useful to the mainstream population in my opinion, but possibly to some outrageous people, sure. Though it's not my style or something I'd rush out to buy on release day, I have to give the Whitfield sisters kudos for doing stuff I don't have the talent to do. Here's to a successful future.

Reflections....
“We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams.”Hawks & I spent a couple hours a day over the past three days going through over 5000 snapshots of my SLife documented on Snapzilla. It's surprising how much of memory is built around things unnoticed at the time. At first it was fun going through my past & sharing funny moments with Hawks, explaining the picture & laughing at some of the trends I tried to pull off. As we got a little further some memories were harder to swallow. I made the mistake of deleting chunks of my past out of anger, frustration, or whatever I was feeling at the time of deletion, so a lot of fun moments are missing (i.e wand stalking, living next to Killian, Club Abnocto, etc). I've learned my lesson & won't do that again. :p Okay, I might. Iunno. I make no promises.
I was told today via email, "Can't enjoy ur "now" without spitting on ur "then" can you JB." That was not spitting, it's not very ladylike. Duh! No, seriously, I was not spitting, my past is my past. Regardless. I would like to think of it this way... You learn from your mistakes, everything you live through builds you into who you are today. Even in a virtual world.

LL Policy (sorta) - Jelly's View
I read this on PixelPulse Magazine this morning:A European parent-teacher group called Familles de France is apparently suing Linden Lab to prevent minors from signing up for Second Life, saying the grid contains “pornographic photos and videos in free access [where] users can mimic sexual acts, going as far as rape scenes, bondage, zoophilia and scatophilia,” according to a report on GamePolitics.com. A court hearing is set for June 18, the site states.
Let me state how fucking moronic this is to me... Parents need to spend more time watching their kids & knowing what they are doing online rather than suing every time their nose tickles. I am a parent of a teenager and she is never on the computer without my permission. The desktop is locked down til she asks me to get online and I put in the password. I know all her passwords & monitor her activity. Hassle much? May seem like it to a lot of people, and it was at first, now it's just daily routine. I even let her play in the Teen Grid until the LL password fuck up scandal. She is never unattended online and it's not because I don't trust her but because I don't trust others. Just like Lala said this morning, "There are so many online predators because it's a harvesting ground of children who aren't being watched." This is so true. I'm tired of people blaming LL for being bad parents and fucking up my escape to live my fantasy world the way I choose to live it. If I want to be a neko (and I am) and fuck like a bunny, or play nice with dogs, be friends with mice or what the fuck ever... I should be allowed to. I pay $9.95 usd in premium account fees on top of my $75 usd a month tier. I think that gives me some say in my slife, my world, my imagination. What it boils down to is this... The problem is client side. it's not a LL thing.. It's a "Parents not watching their god damned kids" thing.
WATCH YOUR FUCKING KIDS ONLINE!
