Today's topic will be taste. TASTE! What gives us "taste" in SL? I do not define "taste" as having the foresight to post pictures of yourself in styles that were GIVEN TO YOU!

A lot of the "newer" fashion blogs only cover "new releases" and ones that were given as "review copies"... Does this mean that the blogger has taste, a style of their own, etc? Or are they merely just showing *us* new releases that they were given?

I personally prefer a fash blog where the writer/contributor goes out, mixes it up, and shows me things I cannot find normally on every other blog out there. Oh yesh, and SLURLS. I love love love the SLURLS.

Call me downright insatiable but jeebus crust people! A month ago I blogged about over-saturation of new releases on the feeds. Now it goes from one extreme to another... Content Theft! Dun dun dunnnnn! With Tenshi leading the battle, of course. Honestly she needs a cape and an uber cool super hero outfit. Go Tenshi, Go! No really, GO! I know it's a tote slow funk that the fashion world is in.

Here's my 2 lindens cause I have a blog & I'm not afraid to use it. :o *gasp*

It's been said before but let's say it again & once and for all... Do your research before you fork out those hard earned lindens. If it looks like an Eloh skin, mayhaps it is. jOMG! No way! Shup! Everyone is a "concerned resident" but this concerned resident is tired of hearing about it. Theft happens everywhere... SL, RL.

I just want new shit. Yup! New shit! Look - it sucks that there is bad people out there, it really does but karma is one hell of a thing to fook with.

Also, kudos to those still giving me new things to look at other than OMGWTFBBQ! THEY STOLEZ FROM MEH!

Fashion Foul!

Some of you know I wrote a post over at MGG2SL about the current state of the SL fashion world called You Blog It! Well in order to not overkill the fashion scene on MGG2SL, I'm going to post my ed/op here.

Let me clarify that I did NOT say *every* fashion blogger is a mindless drone. In fact, some that I read *do* give their opinions. Hence why I still read them.

Do *you* feel my L would be well spent on it? I am not a content creator or even a creator of stuffs. I am just a tringo playing Tuesday DJ with a shopping addiction, I don't buy L's and I survive only on stipend & my tips from dj'ing sooooooo I need to know a little more than like, Pia put it best, "squeee".

What the hell is he on about? I never forget a design request. :) Months, I mean months ago I had asked Ko for a 'full' kini. He gave me a fabulous top but no bottoms. NO BOTTOMS! Let me explain the reason the top is like SL's best designed kini top ever from a girl's point of view. The top has these subtle lil creases exactly where they should be, the seams are straight, very detailed & the top overall gives your tatas the look of buoyancy that most tops don't. Not everyone likes the "I got a bewb job" look, leave that to the cum dumpsters, blingtards & street walkers.

Now the bottoms that he finally blessed me with yesterday to complete my kini... Wowzers. Worth the wait. Though it is a thong, it's on my ass which makes it acceptable. :) Remmy folks... thongs on women? Yes! Thongs on men? No! Don't do it! It's gross!

So even though it's now fall & KO is a season late, these are definitely a must-have for anyone's closet. After all... the beaches, pools, and occasional summer fling events are open all year long in SL.

Happy Heroes Day!

Tonight is the night. Heroes begins its second season tonight at 9 on NBC - You'll have to check your local listings. I'm so excited I could just spit! Set your DVR, TiVo, or whatever it is you people use if you can't plant your ass in front of the t.v. tonight. Haha! I already had a couple styles from 0 Style I bought awhile back when the store was tiny. I'm so glad I took a second look today. I love this Lemon Style and it works with all the hats I bought today. :p If you have to use search, try 'Zero Style'.

I saw this last night on Fashion Victim and showed to Dreamer. I didn't have time to get them last night but Dreamer loves me. I logged into a folder of 3 Candy Faces from my Buttercup. :) These are new at Chicanery. I have Aches, Bruise & Sprain (pictured). They are the cutest lil dolls. If you've never been to Chicanery, I'm sorry. :( I love this store... full of toys, dolls, playground springs, the pack of the missing backpack, avatars, amusements and oddities. Don't forget to fuck an avocado while you're there and don't forget to take pics. :o

NippleGate Shirts for Your Protesting Pleasure
Okay I agree with Dinee on this one. This is getting out of control, BUT the shirts are free, FREE Dinee. *cheesily grins while wagging her finger at the crowd* I agree SL is an art form inside itself. I do think that the artists have kind of lost perspective here if it's come down to shirts with "Vic, do not touch on our nipples" and "Nipples Are Art" printed on the reverse. It could be a lot worse though. Honestly. Vint has said a lot on the subject as well. That's where I heard about this shirt. It's free on SLexchange so you can get yours too. I did get them for 2 reasons... 1. they're free and a piece of SL history 2. I couldn't build my way out of a paper bag let alone be an artist, this is a way I can show my support. So it kind of makes me seem hypocritical but in my head, it makes sense.

Jelly Does Couture - Ung Ung Unf?

This is the new release from Last Call called Marlene from the Catwalk Collection. Ginny Talamasca has been working the Runway with these latest releases (Catwalk Collection & Catwalk Collection II). Out of both releases this is the only one I bought. It's prettiful and oooo the Olive trim is delicious. This is a workable-realish outfit and I would NOT associate it with couture (to my definition) or runway fashion. It's elegant & delightful.

I have to admit the word "couture" makes me throw up a little. It makes me think of little children working in sweat shops with poor blistered fingers, dirty faces & low wages. To quote Laylah, "...the stuff in SL isn't real couture, It's a fluff-screen to make us feel special and a-list to make up for our walmart-shopping stay-at-home-mother RL." Yah, and I'm sure the Lu sisters don't run a sweat shop. :) Anywho the word 'couture' is causing acid reflux. The end.

Dutch Touch makes me Ung Ung Unf!

No way! Shut Up! Iki Ikarus of Dutch Touch released JEANS! Oh yesh! I believe I own anything & everything Iki has ever released. I could possibly be bias. Iunno. That's not the point, she released JEANS!!! Hello? Can you scream "HELL YESH"!?! Jeans are sold separately for 125L and are available at Dutch Touch/Willow Beach.

When I got there earlier (by that I mean tripped over Aka, scratched my knee, and crawled quickly bolting for the doors) I noticed the cutesy hair in her ads & just had to have that too. Surf Report: Sneaka Peeka - JB Boardies by LVS

I love Ravenlynn Templar of LVS so farking much, my pores are seeping bubble hearts. :) I im'd her a few days ago because I was in dire need of GOOD board shorts for women that are stylish as well as practical. One thing I've learned in this SL surfing scene is that I spend a lot of time staring at my own ass crack due to board riding versus cam controls versus no good board shorts.

As you all know, crack kills and I was dying a slow death... but now I thank Ravenlynn... female SL surfers thank her, ass cracks across the grid thank her & a shrine may need to be built. :p Unfortunately though all ya'll are going to have to wait about two weeks for these to be released. She is preparing for a big grand opening in the second week of September, so these wont be released till then. Trust me as soon as I know, you'll know. They will be transfer/mod and only 115L (top & bottom) BARGAIN! :D She'll eventually be releasing a whole line of different colors and patterns. ;)

Until then though you can check out her great bikinis for when you're tanning your pixels, playing watersports, or frolicking in the local water holes. :D
